Note on homes sold for less than $10,000. When I calculate sales and median prices, I discard sales below $10,000. Years ago I assumed they were typographical errors, however, some homes in very inexpensive areas are indeed selling now for under $10,000 so my data will under estimate the number of sales and over estimate the median price per square foot in those very inexpensive zip codes.
